This piece began as a short NEUTRAL CLOAK. Apparently, something in the same pre-shrink load bled in the wash and turned this white garment into a lovely shade of parchment yellow. Also, it has an original "Weaving Monk" label. "Weaving Monk" was the brand of my mentor.
 
 
Thousands of tiny threads are plied together to create a dynamic ombre with variations of hue and value. This color way moves from pruple at one edge to bright teal green at the other.
 
The pieces are then woven by hand, pre-shrunk, and sewn with strong nylon thread to ensure a lifetime of wear.
